Reviews and Ratings
Chidambara Vilas is a stunning mansion that truly captures the essence of Chettinad living. The rooms are beautifully furnished and comfortable, making for a lovely stay. The staff, especially Frederick and Dinesh, go above and beyond to provide genuine service and ensure an unforgettable experience. However, the swimming pool area needs some maintenance, and the women's change room could use more attention. Nevertheless, my overall experience was unique and memorable, making it worth the visit.
Staying at this heritage resort was an unforgettable experience, with exquisite woodwork and an authentic feel of Chettiar culture. The warmth of the staff made us feel like part of the family, and the traditional meals were delicious. However, the dining options could be a bit pricey, and the intermittent power supply was a slight inconvenience. Overall, it offers a unique glimpse into history with modern comforts.
My stay at Chidambara Vilas was nothing short of extraordinary! The exquisite Chettinad cuisine, opulent environment, and unbelievably attentive staff made every moment memorable. However, I did encounter some hiccups with the payment system and Wi-Fi access that could use some improvement.
I had an amazing experience at this hotel, which beautifully blends luxury with history. The rooms were both spacious and comfortable, and I especially enjoyed the house tour that a knowledgeable staff member gave us. Dining here was a treat, particularly the authentic Chettinad cuisine served on banana leaves. However, the location is quite remote, so it's wise to bring your own essentials since there are limited options nearby.
My stay at the resort was a delightful journey into the rich heritage of Chettinad. The gorgeous architecture, combined with the mouthwatering traditional meals served on banana leaves, was absolutely worth it. The service was exceptional, specifically highlighting the attentiveness of the staff. However, I found the dining prices a bit on the higher side. While the overall experience was excellent, the room furnishings could use a touch of modernization.
